Let’s Start From the Very Beginning…

Career Evolutions (CE) began from an idea born in the midst of the 2008 financial turmoil, and was officially founded early 2009 by Christian and Julie Kaijser who combined their vision, talents and experience to build a client-centered Career Management and Executive Recruitment company in Phoenix, Arizona.

Servicing clients from day one, the corporate methodology was built and formed based on client and candidate need and profile. Continuously evolving to reflect the ever-changing needs of the market, CE responds to industry highs and lows, economic fluctuations and emerging trends across the business landscape and within the workplace.

Centrally located in Scottsdale, CE’s eclectic office in a classic terra cotta beauty near Scottsdale Quarters and Kierland Commons has seen its share of searches, sourcing and placements, along with a never-ending cycle of career management clients coming, getting jobs and moving on to eventually return as corporate clients looking to hire great candidates.

Christian is a Business Development Leader, Executive Recruiter, Career Coach, and International Entrepreneur who has started up and turned around more than 20 businesses in the United States and Sweden. He has grown and saved multiple operations, put countless professionals to work, and coached executive leaders in the seat through his more than 20 years in C-level and partner roles within Financial Staffing & Consulting, IT, Retail, Public Accounting, Healthcare,Private Equity industries, and more. Starting each day with nearly boundless energy, optimism, and a passion for putting the right people in the right place, Christian has been a part of the success of such companies as Lexicon and CyberCom in Sweden, and Robert Half, Vaco, and now Career Evolutions in Arizona. 

Born and raised in Sweden, Christian came to the United States as a high school exchange student and later returned to play American football and earn his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Tennessee and Washington, D.C. He returned to Sweden in 1994 for a successful run of startups and turnarounds before permanently relocating back to the U.S. in 2003 and launching his recruiting career.

The twists and turns of his own professional story laid the foundation to his approach from all sides of the table. He understands the searching, the searcher and the searched, and is committed to replacing the mystery and tedium with knowledge and purposeful action.


Julie is a Duck at heart who graduated from OSU and then headed east to earn a Master’s in International Communication from the American University, School of International Service. Highly trained and practiced in intercultural communications and professionalism in multicultural business environments, Julie has worked in Professional Development since 1992 when she managed Outplacement Centers for the U.S. Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C. Her professional training & development experience spans the globe, working with professionals from the United States, throughout Scandinavia and into the Baltic regions. Hundreds of professionals have benefited from her personalized coaching and training expertise.

A writer and translator, Julie has owned and partnered with training and translating companies since 1994, and loves the current challenge of taking underdeveloped resumes and turning them into the real story. Working behind the scenes to support business operations, and one-on-one with clients to build compelling documents, her passion is the written word and persuading it to fall into its natural rhythm and rhyme.
